Johannes Hagenmeyer, Executive Director of DARCO (Europe) GmbH, reveals in an interview which developments and concepts the company is employing to meet current and future challenges.

Orthopedic footwear is part of the category of medical devices used in the conservative treatment of foot and ­lower limbs pathomechanics. For the custom-made medical device the manufacturer has to perform the design based on the prescription of a duly qualified medical practitioner that sets the specific design characteristics of the device. Quality management standards in the field of medical devices govern the entire process (or parts thereof) from ­design and development to delivery and provide technical support for their implementation.

The "International Seminar" has established itself at ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK and this year again offers the opportunity to exchange information on current developments in the industry across national borders. This year, the focus is on digitalization in pedorthics. Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, from 3.30 -5.30 pm will be all about patient interaction, assessment, design and manufacturing in the digital world.
